After more than a year of exploring the eBike market, I finally found the one – and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The assembly was a breeze, taking me only about 20 minutes.
Both the pedal assist and throttle modes are fantastic. Despite being 6'3" and 250 lbs, I have no issues cruising at 20 mph with ease. The bike is incredibly comfortable, thanks to the tires that work well to absorb bumps.
Received the goods intact and undamaged, the packaging was excellent, and the installation was simple. Both my son and I had a good cycling experience.
This ebike is absolutely satisfying. It reaches a speed of 20 MPH without pedal assist and gradually slows down to around 17-18 MPH after covering about 15 miles. When the battery is nearly depleted at 25 miles, the speed decreases significantly. However, it still handles hills and wind quite well. With pedal assist, it can easily cover a distance of 25-30 miles.
I am a 5'10, 220-pound man who has been using this bike primarily for my daily commute to work. The routes I take are filled with potholes that are around 1-3 inches deep, so I needed a sturdy bike that could withstand the rough streets. I have had this bike for several months now, and the battery is still in excellent condition. During my commute, which is about 18-24 miles roundtrip depending on the route, I charge the battery at work. It usually takes 2-3 hours to charge, and I only use about 20% of the battery. The bike has pedal assist, which allows me to manage a speed of around 12-15 mph, even on the steep inclines on my routes. I have noticed that the maximum speed of the bike is around 19 mph on flat terrain, as indicated by street radar signs and Google Maps. However, when tackling my steep hills, I have been able to reach speeds of up to 39 mph. I have installed a bike rack on the bike to carry my work supplies, and it fits perfectly (although it's worth mentioning that not all racks are compatible and require longer screws). So far, I have biked over 550 miles with this bike and haven't encountered any major issues. The only minor repairs I have had to make were replacing the rear bike tube at 500 miles, which seemed to have loose seams causing air to escape, and changing the brakes at 450 miles. I also make sure to lubricate and clean the chain every 100 miles, and that has kept it running smoothly. My partner also enjoyed riding this bike, but ultimately chose a different bike due to personal styling preferences. Comparing this bike to other e-bikes she tried, I realized that this one is relatively lightweight. Overall, I am very satisfied with this bike, and I will provide another comment after reaching 1000 miles. My only concern is that you have to start pedaling at a low gear, otherwise, the chain may come off.
Overall, the bike has proven to be a reliable choice, with no functional issues concerning the gears or battery. the bike's performance has solid, and with the necessary adjustments and upgrades, it continues to meet our expectations.
I appreciate the convenience of mounting and dismounting the bike with the lower "bar" on the frame. At 72 years old, I find the bike offers a comfortable ride, including the seat and handlebars. The electric assist is my favorite feature, as it can be turned on and off as needed. Without this feature, I wouldn't continue riding a bike. Learning to ride has been easy, and having the option to pedal or not is fantastic.
